Savaged Morrow Project
The Morrow Project
In 1992 Aspen hosted a secret meeting of nine of the wealthiest individuals in the United States. They were summoned by a man named Bruce Edward Morrow, a man not of money but of influence far beyond his position. He tells them something both unremarkable and yet quite startling: There will be a global catastrophe that will threaten the very existence of humanity. On the one hand, with the mounting problems of the world, this surprises no one, but on the other hand Morrow is somehow able to convince these nine that the danger is quite real and possibly imminent. There are no transcripts of the meeting and none will say exactly what happened, but by the end of the 2-day conference, all nine had signed on to Morrow’s Council of Tomorrow.
The Council of Tomorrow was a secret society dedicated to ensuring humanity’s future, and it’s main tool for doing this is the Morrow Project, a project that you are a part of. The Morrow Project is an ambitious project to cryogenically preserve the best of the current generation so that they can sleep through the coming apocalypse and emerge to rebuild the United States.
At the heart of the Morrow Project are the special teams of agents. These are recruited from the best of the current generation, the soldiers and scientists and all those who would be needed to rebuild a civilization. Broken up into teams of 12, these groups are placed into cryogenic stasis, waiting to be awoken after the collapse. These teams are placed into “vaults” scattered about the country. No one but the Council members knows exactly how many of these teams there are, but there are at least hundreds. Each vault contains the equipment the team will need to carry out their mission.
These teams will not act independently, however. In addition to hundreds of these vaults, Project Morrow has constructed The Hub, a super-vault that will serve as the command center for the field teams. The Hub is located in a super-secret facility constructed somewhere in Colorado (even the field teams do not know where). Unlike the field vaults, the staff in the Vault will not sleep through the catastrophe. Instead they will remain awake, watching as events play out. And it is they who will send out the signal for the field teams to awaken when the time is right.
You are a member of one of these field teams. In 2004 your team was recruited and placed into cryogenic stasis outside the town of Pratt, Kansas. You have been trained, you have been indoctrinated, and now you are ready to save and restore the country that you love so much. Intended to be part of an organized plan to rebuild North America, your team has a 3 to 5 year post catastrophe expected wake-up call. Your team must rely on their ingenuity, training and each other to carry out the general orders of the project:
- Assist the population in rebuilding America whenever possible.
- Contact the Hub and receive your briefing and any new orders.
